Share links
A share link is a limited URL that grants access to selected content without exposing the full library or requiring a normal user account. Possession of the link acts as a credential for its configured share scope.
A link identifies the shared resource or selection and any supported access constraints. It does not grant general browsing, administration, metadata editing, or API access beyond the share experience.
Related content is not automatically public merely because one record is shared. The server still controls which metadata, generated assets, and source streams the share route can return.
Lifecycle and exposure
Section titled “Lifecycle and exposure”Share links can be revoked independently of users and roles. If expiration or other limits are configured, the server enforces them when the link is used. Revoking a link cannot recall files a recipient already downloaded or copied.
Treat the URL as a secret: avoid placing it in public logs, screenshots, referrer-bearing pages, or issue reports. Internet-facing use also requires appropriate TLS, proxy configuration, network policy, updates, and monitoring; the link itself is not a complete perimeter.
