Your first hour with Cove

This tutorial path starts with files on disk and ends with a small, useful collection you can find again. It is for anyone using Cove; no development tools or extension knowledge are required.

If Cove is not running yet, begin at Get Started to choose an installation and complete the shared first-run setup.

1. Scan your first library to connect one representative folder and verify the records Cove creates.
2. Explore your library to learn the home page, media navigation, cards, and detail pages.
3. Find anything with global search and the controls on a single media list.
4. Organize a collection by editing useful metadata and bringing related items together.

If you imported or restored an established library, begin at Explore your library. After the tutorial, use the User Guide for everyday tasks or Developer if you want to work on Cove or build an extension.
