An image is a primary media record for one still. Its record owns descriptive metadata and relationships, while the attached file owns technical values such as path, dimensions, format, size, and fingerprints.

Inspect an image and move through related results
Open an image to view the still at a useful size with its metadata nearby. Use the lightbox for a focused full-size view, zoom when you need detail, and move to the previous or next image without returning to the list.
Gallery membership adds collection context without changing the image's identity or metadata, so the same image remains independently searchable and reusable.
